HFN spoke earlier in the thread wondering if he would be able to see a random football game being shown on a regional network.

Jon Wilner's most recent article states that all football and men's basketball games will be shown on the national network (if they aren't on Fox or ESPN):

This Pac-12 TV deal sounds really familiar. Currently only on Comcast and a few obscure stations not on Dish or Directv.

Only the channels in your region will be available to you. So ASU fans that live in Utah will not be able to watch the regional ASU channel unless eventually they add it for a price of course.

None of the channels will be on the basic tier at least for now.

This has MTN disaster written all over it.

Here's the take-home language:

Regardless of which regional network you receive, everyone will have the same core 350 events:

All football games (that aren’t on Fox or ESPN).
All men’s basketball games (that aren’t on Fox or ESPN).
40 women’s basketball games.
Best-of-the-best Olympic sports.
All spring football games.

Once you get to event No. 351, everything gets separated by region.

I don't know if the Trib is going to run a series of articles on PAC12 campuses, but this article gets me drooling for some roadies this year. Thanks to the mighty LAUte, there will be at least 50 of us (including BoylenOver and myself) at the USC campus. I'll be at Cal (not the campus bc memorial stadium is being renovated) and also at Arizona. I won't be able to go to the Wazzou game, at least not so far, but I have family in Moses Lake and could arguably spend the Holiday with them and hit all of the Ute PAC 12 road games this year. Next year I fully plan on the same thing. And thanks to HFN, I am also hitting ASU at Autzen (he's a stud)... In addition, I'll be at the Stanford Oregon game.

I CANNOT FRIGGIN' WAIT!!! THIS WILL BE THE GREATEST AUTUMN OF MY LIFE!!!!!

I still think the U needs to take Hot Lunch's idea and re-shingle the top of Einar Nielson Fieldhouse with red tiles that spell out GO UTES!

The idea has been presented to Hill and the Ath. Dept. Years ago, in fact. Although, at the time, the idea was to put "UTAH" in block letters on the field house.

IIRC, the reply was that it was the facilities department that would have to do it, it would cost too much, bla bla bla bla....

I think the bottom line is that Chris Hill has no desire to see it done. If he wanted it done, the money would be raised pretty quickly. There are several little things like that which could be done but aren't. They are roundly shot down and brushed aside.

I'd love to see it done. Maybe HL can start pushing it when he's on the radio.
