looks like Big East is trying to develop a Western Division, contacts Fresno and UNLV about football only.

Tom and the boys decided to stand on 12 rather than take a hit despite the dealer showing a face card. Not the best play by the book, but it worked out even though it pissed off the players sitting to his left.

Genius blackjack analogy. All that's missing is the identity of the dealer, and how long it's going to take for him to flip over the hole card. BYU isn't a winner in this yet, but it certainly is still in the hand.

I'm not sure how much CBS will actually be increasing their payout or if at all, but the Mountain West seems to be establishing themselves as a better conference.

CBS's payout isn't increasing, they'll still pay 1.2 million for Tier 1 rights, but now the MWC can sell Tier 2 & Tier 3 rights to other networks, so maybe the MWC could get 4-5 million per school if they can get Boise State, Houston, SDSU and a 14th team (maybe BYU, SMU, or Tulsa). It would be a solid hoops conference for TV as well I think.

Sounds like Boise State is playing hard ball with the MWC & Big East, saying they want to retain rights to home games.

Not that I blame them, but I wonder if Boise State would actually consider going independent. You could have BYU & Boise State possibly agree to some bowl rotation.

If SDSU is still in the Big East that means BYU took their open spot in the MWC. I want SDSU in the MWC.

I don't see why SDSU in the Big East necessarily means BYU is in the MWC. Sure, if SDSU stays in the Big East, the MWC will invite us, but I'm not sure we will give up independence for the MWC.
