I worry that our offense will generate more than 14 points. I think we can run, but only if we can get SC to respect our passing game. I fully expect to see 8 in the box and Man 0 from Kiffen the elder. At least that is how I would play us until it is proven that we have a passing attack.
We gotta have hope that Chow kept the wraps on Wynn last week. We will see this game. My bet is a completely different Wynn. (hoping with fingers crossed)

Barkley is a stud, but he obviously doesn't have eyes for anyone else in his receiving corps except Woods. Of course, the fact that other guys like #89 dropped like 3 balls doesn't help with Barkley's confidence in them. Couple that with the fact Minnesota was playing too far off of the receivers, and played zone most of the game, and Barkley chewed them up. I think our corners will be able to play tighter coverage. Hopefully, with the exotic pressures that Utah dials up against an inexperienced offensive line, we may be able to keep him off balance. If we let Barkley get into a groove, he will be very difficult to contain.

I wasn't overly impressed with their running game. It seemed an afterthought, but with the way Barkley-To-Woods was chewing up yardage, it was really a "we'll keep doing this until you stop it situation". Still, I have to be skeptical about their running game and their revamped offensive line.

Here's to hoping that the Good QB Wynn Who Only Plays Well In SoCal And Iowa shows up. I think it will be a close game, but I think we'll need at least 21 points to pull out a win.

      *fingers crossed*

I'm calling it. Wynn throws for twice as many yards against USC. Put it down!

I agree. I think Wynn will play well too. His problem seems to be one of "playing to the level of the competition". The only time he has had a great game against inferior competition was against Iowa State. He needs to learn consistency, and to bring it every game.

But maybe I'm just drinking the Kool Aid.

Watching USC yesterday offensively they were a lot like BYU moved the ball very well between the tackles but struggled to cash it in.

Defensively they were stout but still have some secondary issues.

            24-14 trojans.

I would be worried about Wynn, except USC's secondary hasn't been anything to write home about so maybe he can exploit it.

People can discredit Barkley, but he's been solid QB. He has more signature wins other than Iowa State and California.

I'm not sure if you misread me or not. I think Barkley is a stud. I was saying that their receiving corps has been underwhelming, outside of Woods of course.

OrangeUte, Senioritis and I, along with 43 of our families and friends, will be in Section 13, rows 73 and 74. We formed a pool and purchased those two rows. The seats aren't the best but we're told we'll be able to see the field. Just look for the red stripe of fans in the western end zone. OrangeUte and I will try to behave. We make no promises about Senioritis.

Thats high up. Not great seats but good enough. You will have great views of the Peristyle and the 4th quarter lighting of the torch.

The brand new video screen will be right behind you. It looks really awesome.

                        I didn't misread your post.

I'm referencing to the local and national media that Barkley gets, not what you said. It seems that if he's not a Heisman candidate, he's a terrible QB.

I think these were the best seats for a group of our size to all sit together. I've beenup in that area before and it has a good view of the field-just high up, if I remember correctly.

DDD or USCoug, is there a tradition involving the lighting of the Olympic cauldron? I don't remember that from DDDs game day guide. For some reason I thought it got lit at the beginning of every game. Is that the case, or do they just light it after wins?

I'll try to keep LAUte from engaging in any fisticuffs. BO as well. My aunt will also be in the crowd. I make no promises for her. She's psychotic.

It is lit at the start of each 4th quarter. The band plays William Tell Overture, a fireball flies all over the Coliseum (on the video screen), the Horse runs all over the place and then at the very end, the torch is lit. Always a really cool moment because of all the Olympic history in that place. The Gray Lady is old, but she has some great stories to tell!

You've already given up the section and row. My picture is on this site somewhere.
