Yikes! I'm going nekkid to the game then.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

I'm jumping out of this B12 jibba jabba and getting into something that we KNOW is going to happen this weekend. The Ole Miss game! (That is assuming flights are not full).

What time are you folks heading over to campus on Saturday? Do we have a breakdown of when they do the Walk of Champions thing? I'd like to check that out. Also plan on hob nobbing in The Grove for a few hours, eating food and mingling with the local debutants.

A part of me is giving some serious thought to pulling an all-nighter, as I understand people start partying in the Grove on Friday evening.

All-nighters make the game a very miserable experience. Trust me. I did the '96 WAC Chamipionship game sans sleep and when Owen Pochman punched his ticket to the Playboy mansion I nearly had to be ambulanced out of there.

Sorry, I've been told numerous times that formal dress is required. Or, at the very least, a dress.

My Ole Miss neighbors say it should start at 1:30 p.m., but you better be there by 1 p.m. to find a spot.

Some good quotes out there from Ole Miss' O.C. on BYU's defense:

"They're all two or three years older than our guys," Lee said. "They all have beards [] and some of our guys don't need to shave yet. They're experienced. (Safety Daniel) Sorensen really helps them.[] He can back (from a mission) and now he's a safety, so they'll have him down ready to thump us in the run game if he reads it right. The best player over there is (linebacker Jordan) Pendleton. He's a playmaker. He's fast. He's got to be blocked. He's got to stay blocked. He doesn't want to stay blocked very long.

"(USC transfer/linebacker Uona) Kaveinga, he's a rolling ball of butcher knives they've got out there.

People set up in the grove around 10 pm on Friday night, but they don't party there until Saturday. The Oxford Square is where the party will be on Friday night. The grove is within walking distance of the square. I would advise against an all nighter in 100 degree heat.

After much consideration and some very emotional boardmail pleas from a few Cuffers, I have decided to get a proper night of rest on Friday.

Come on, Ole Miss attendees...are you pumped for the game or what? Let's have a roll call or something.

I am flying out tomorrow in the wee early AM hours. I will likely hit snooze a few times and head to the airport for a 6AM flight.

By lunch I should be enjoying some wonderful Memphis fare.

                              Weather.com shows:

Fri: High 96, 10% chance of rain
Sat: High 98, 10% chance of rain

I'm bringing the Flip with me. Time for some journalism!!!

I am with sizzle on this game. I am interested to see what Bronco does with the defense to manage the size of the Ole' Miss line. IF we can stop the run and put the onus on the new QB I like our chances. Glad we have depth, cause we are going to need it this game.

I like that 3 out of 4 of their dbs are JC transfers, that bodes well for a great debut of the Apo, Hoffman combo.
