"If we ate dinner with other teams, I think the same thing would happen," Utah defensive end Christian Cox said.
Guess what Chris? There are teams that don't get in fights at dinner!

I'm curious...at what point does this stuff start to embarrass you guys? Ever?
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

You are starting to tread in dick head territory. Seriously, wtf?

Pretty impressive, especially since it's being done by a New Zealand team, so it's actually relevant to their culture. Sort of like a national anthem.

So then Utes and Ducks were stupid to get all huffy over it eh?

See, this is why you guys need me here: to help you lighten up a bit and stop taking yourselves so doggone seriously, and to open up your world for you just a little!

You missed my point, you miserable vomitous mass. A New Zealand team doing the Maori Haka makes sense - it's about national pride. A bunch of North American white guys doing it just because a couple of their fellow players have Maori ancestry is just lame. If you were a better student of my posts you would understand this already.

But what if, heaven forbid, some Maori guys go to the U and one day decide to perform it pregame and invite their teammates to join them? Would it be an expression of team unity then or just lame?

I won't comment on Cox's comments about food fights, but Devonte's "Girlse" State comment was pretty lame.

I can't speak for the Ducks, I'm sure that the Utes were all huffy because of how awful BYU's version of the haka was. Insulting, really, to the Maori people.

That can't be real. No one talks like that unless they (word omitted) at recess.

Exactly! In one instance it's just a bunch of college guys "defending their honor" in a public place, in the other it is a bunch of would-be "fine young men" disgracing the culture of a small nation.

Thank you for clearing that up.

Exactly my thought when I read the article today. A fight at dinner...sort of embarrassing. Most teams don't, but tempers can flare anywhere, I guess. Follow with a Girlse state comment that's not even funny and can only tick off the team that's better by any objective measurement...stupid, and a little less excusable. Then Cox defends the dinner fight as normal behavior?

                              wtf is right.

I, for one, am glad that the Utes are "shaking-up" the Veg. There have been too many Vegas bowls in recent history that feature at least one incredibly boring team and fan base.

The Utes showing the world that you can sell out the Vegas bowl and also adhere to LV's irreverent, rough and tumble image.
