  • Since so many people here are pointing out the bad things regarding the Utes and this bowl game, let me point out a good thing. Sorry if this was already posted by another Utefan.

While most of Utah’s players spent Sunday relaxing, Utah receiver DeVonte Christopher and a handful of other players put in some hours of volunteer work with Christopher’s grandmother feeding the homeless. It’s a tradition his grandmother has had since Christopher was little.

"She was doing it even before I was born," Christopher said. "She instilled values in us that you have to be thankful for everything you have. Learning that at a young age was helpful for me."

I am sure Boise will put this on their bulletin board right next to his tweet.

Thanks for the little twist on a good deed.

Meh, it's no fireside, but feeding the homeless probably earns some karma points.

Here's to hoping it translates into a couple (or more) DeVonte Christopher TD's tomorrow.

Thanks for calling attention to good deeds. It is cool that the Utes get the press involved when they do service. BYU generally does this sort of stuff under the radar, but there is definitely a certain buzz about broadcasting this to the media.

I'll bet they had a source on the "inside" of a secret internet forum. That's probably how.

I wanted a link to prove BYU's community service goes unreported.

First, the Utes don't do lame things. Second, if they did the Haka, it wouldn't be lame. Glad I could clear that up for you.
