Interesting that coming off that huge win in The Fiesta Bowl the utes only got 19,000 in 2005.

This is okay. Utah has grown accustomed to the safety school role.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Not surprisingly, the Vegas Bowl would love to host BYU, but the MWC is trying to flex its atrophied muscles in order to prevent it.
Good. I hate Las Vegas and won't spend a dime there. I'd honestly rather go to Albuquerque.

I hope that happens. As a BYU fan and a Vegas local, that would be one of the more interesting match-up possibilities for that game that doesn't involve BYU. I'd definitely attend.

It's a natural. Have the Vegas bowl managers suffered a mass brain injury?

Mandell is not Dennis Dodd. Also, do you always believe flacks?

Espn owns the bowls they are broadcasting?

ESPN, which owns the New Mexico Bowl and Maaco Bowl Las Vegas, has the ability to shift the WAC’s fourth bowl slot from New Mexico to Las Vegas. That would create a Top 25 matchup between Boise State and No. 21 Utah. The Maaco Bowl is Dec. 22.

This is not news and not a surprise. There has been a mutual dislike between Utah and Tina Kunzer-Murphy since the Utah-USC Vegas Bowl in 2001. She blames Utah for the poor attendance that year, not the fact that they played the bowl game on Christmas Day.
