My understanding is that all 4 BCS bowls will make their pitches individually. holmoe will announce BYUs destination on a one hour televised special entitled, "The Exercise of Free Agency."

To find out where BYU will be taking their talents will be a much anticipated televised special.

All proceeds will go to the O'Neill Chambers memorial scholarship fund.

I love this thread and appreciate the optimism. I am even inclined to agree somewhat, but even if the talent level of all these kids is as high as billed, they're still very young. No way they'll be legit top 25. They might sneak in there anyway with all the patsies in the second half if they can beat at least 2 of the 4 good opponents.

And regarding Kav, I do remember Bronco being quoted as saying he's "very impressive" or something like that. I got the impression that was relative to LBs in general, not just Shane Hunter and his ilk. There's reason to think he'll be a big improvement.

Can part of those funds be used to construct a statue of O'Neill as well?

Didn't he say the same thing about Steven Thomas?

If there's one area where I believe BYU will be loaded at next year it's at Linebacker.

Consider the following returning players. I will list this by what year they will be in 2011:

                Jordan Pendleton - Senior
                Aveni Leung Wai- Senior
                Jameson Frazier - Senior
                Brandon Ogletree - Junior
                Austen Jorgensen - Junior
                Uona Kaveinga - Junior
                Kyle Van Noy - Sophomore
                Zac Stout - Sophomore
                Michael Alisa - Sophomore
                Spencer Hadley - Sophomore
Daniel Sorenson - Sophomore (candidate to be potentially be moved back to Safety)
Iona Pritchard - Sophomore (could play both ways again)
                Alani Fua - Redshirt Freshman
                Collin Keoshian - Redshirt Freshman
Sae Tautu - Redshirt Freshman (not sure on his mission plans)
                Austin Heder - True Freshman
                Lene Lesatele - True Freshman
Manoa Pikula - True Freshman (Could also play FB)
                Adam Pulsipher - True Freshman

Kevan Bills - True Freshman/RM...Could be a DE or OLB.....not sure where they'll put him.

Of the 4 incoming True Frosh I don't know the missions plans or timing of them.

Regardless when you look at this list...I think it's safe to say BYU will have plenty of options at LB not only for 2011 but the couple seasons following it.

He might have, but all I remember is him saying that his defensive assistants were confident he was the guy at FS. Given the talent level of the other options, that isn't exactly high praise.

Should they stop listening to their fans? They're, their fans.
                    Get confident, stupid

Once again, you are bringing it home.

I was concerned you wouldn't be able to perform at altitude, but these are concerns no more.
                      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Yeah w/ that ridiculous depth combined with the concerns at safety I'll be very surprised if Daniel Sorensen isn't moved back. Sorensen is a legit talent - got an early offer from Ole Miss, but then committed to BYU when it was still relatively early in the process and wasn't going to change his mind.

I think he's one of our best prospects for getting good fast at safety but who knows if he'll be ready. Not sure when he gets back from his mish.

But he signed out of High School with Kentucky and transferred to BYU, right? Just saying...

No, Bronco has never been sold on Steven Thomas. When asked about him, Bronco said that Hill thought he would be "capable" and he would trust his judgement.

Same as all at large teams -- win at least 9 games and top 14 in bcs standings
