Wynn played terrible last night. We also missed devonte a lot. hopefully the utes can come out charged and ready to fire. Btw if the oc calls an asiata inside run on that 4th and 2 we are probaly looking at at a 35-17 win.

So I was thinking about this today at church (shows they type of spirit I carry into the building). I thought Wynn horrible last night as well. I thought Wynn was horrible vs. Wyoming also. Both these games I thought that the game plan going into the game was to run the ball. I think Utah showed that on their first drive last night. This made me think that Wynn possibly lacks focus or discipline when he knows that he is not the focal point of the O that week. And maybe this is why he was so horrible those games.

Just a thought.

I'm unsettled about Wynn going into the TCU game.

He looked horrible against TCU last season.

He came out VERY shaky against Cal in the bowl game. (Granted, he settled down and had a good game, but Cal is not TCU. IF we start that way against TCU, the game will be out of reach ala last season.)

He looked bad against Wyoming.

He looked shaky against AFA.

I hope I'm wrong. However, I'll be pleasantly surprised if Wynn has a good game against TCU. I see him struggling and the D, special teams and running game are going to have to show huge for Utah to get the win.

BYU had success running right at TCU with Kariya. HOpefully, Utah can replicate that and do even better, taking the pressure off of Wynn's passing game.

I haven't agreed with you on anything Utah in a long time, but this post was spot on. Blechen has a bright future at Utah, but he was terrible tonight. He has a long way to go. People want to compare him to Weddle as a freshman, but there is no comparison.

I have no confidence in Wynn right now, none. He isn't a bad QB by any means, but I don't want to rely on him to win a game. I guess this is why he isn't where BJ was in 2008. In 2008, I felt completely confident in BJ when the game was on the line.

He probably had his worst game in pass coverage of the season.

However, I'm not going to freak out about that.

It's asking a lot of a true freshman to play safety against the AFA option.

I don't think his woes against AFA in the pass are necessarily indicative of how he will play against TCU, SDSU, ND or BYU.

You are right about him making some plays though. He did make some big plays at some big moments. The kid was a little lost playing Air Force for the first time but he came up big during big times. He is a great talent and has an incredible future ahead of him.

Doesn't sound much different than what I said. Personally, I thought he was close to Utah's best player on the field, because the plays he did make were freakin' huge. I give more emphasis to that. But there's no mistaking there were times in which he wasn't in the right position. That could be said about a lot of our defenders in the back seven.

Yep. IMO, He was Utah's defensive MVP in that game, with David Kruger playing a close 2nd. Both players have NFL futures in front of them.

Sealver definitely does. I think Kruger will be as good as his brother in the NFL.
