Come on. BYU dominated the game stat wise and still needed an obvious blown non-call PI to win. There are game defining plays every game. BYU has benefited more from ref errors on those defining plays in their wins this year more so than any year I can remember.

Nobody here is ever content. Utes aren't happy that they weren't the Pac 10's first choice. BYU isn't happy with a win in a season they have already lost 5 games.

With an ugly five-point win, you could point to dozens of plays over the course of the game that could have made a difference in the final outcome. I saw several holds where the jersey was all stretched out that weren't called. Why all of the angst over the missed PI call?

Discuss it, sure. But saying that directly caused the outcome or that BYU "needed" it to win are just stupid. It affected the outcome just as much as any other play. It was an obvious blown call, but didn't cause anything. BYU's defense dominated Wyo's O. There's no reason to think that PI call changed anything.

It did however potentially change the outcome of the game though. Nobody can argue against that. Had the right call been made Wyoming would have had it first and goal with 4 shots at the end zone. Who know what would have happened.

Sure. I concede. If the tables had been turned I wouldn't be upset at all. You are right. The blown call right there had no impact on the game because BYU's defense had dominated all game.
