I think it happens about as frequently as BYU fans get beer poured on them at RES.

BYU can bring out such vitriol. I know it is petty of me, but this is one thing I love about being a BYU fan. From the religion to the conservative institution that does not value academic freedom, it must kill some folks for BYU to routinely pound them. They view the LDS culture, and BYU, as such ancient artifacts from a bygone world and to have to endure these milk-drinking, soft do-gooders to pound their teams in the ass year after year must suck. They are left with my favorite rallying cry: "they are a bunch of hypocrites!"

If anyone sees Bronco, thank him for me. These types of comments trully complete me.

No 1 call ever determines a game. I would be willing to bet that if one were to scrutinize the game tape there were calls earlier in the game that were to SDSU's benefit. Calls good and bad are part of the game and don't change the outcome.

I cannot wait for basketball to start. I hope Jimmer goes in there again and drops 50 on them. The call by these two hacks to have all the fans and students show up at the basketball game to disrespect BYU is awfully ironic. What call did they get screwed for the awesome display of class they gave BYU last year?

I think Cougar fans should welcome him to Provo. Somebody should bake him cookies (with Meth blue so he pisses blue for a week), we should have signs that are just over the top nice to him. "Welcome to Birmingham, Chris". When SDSU players shoot free-throws, the whole crowd should yell "We Want Ello". What better way to show him how much class we lack than giving him exactly what he thinks we should give him?

Never felt any guilt about it, and don't feel any about BYU beating SDSU. Refs don't win or lose games. Babs' school needs CBs and a FG kicker and they still win.

For what it's worth the few times I visited my friends down at SDSU and UCSD they could give a rats ass about their sports. They were too busy partying, going to the beach and picking out what they were going to wear Wednesday night in TJ.

Not sure, but they are hired/assign by the conference, not by the schools, so BYU had no part in it.

that can change quickly though, and it's obvious that when it comes to BYU they do care, at least about basketball. All it takes is two dillholes with an audience to get people pissed. I doubt they rant on like that if there is no market for it. Judging by the number of articles written and now this, it's clear that this is a big story in San Diego.

The closest SDSU came to relevence in college football was 1979. They entered the 4th week of October ranked and scheduled to play their first game where both teams were ranked. The opponent scored on its first 5 plays, the game did not end well for the Aztecs. I don't think they have been ranked since. Something like 63-14, but my guess is our good friend LA Ute! could recall more of the sordid details of this RUTS chapter in the long history of Lavell riding em like cheap TJ hookers!

SDSU is a public university in California. I think what you see is a deeper dislike of BYU and mormon culture. Not religious bigotry, but a deep distrust and dislike of deeply religious people and any institution run by a religion. Perhaps it is bigotry to some but I tend to see it more of a secular institution just thinking religion is silly and perplexed that with all their superior perspectives why does this backwards Academy consistently pound their asses. In their world where you "celebrate diversity," they just can't work out how or why BYU beats the living shit out of them time after time or time. There you are, secular and most likely progressive with a life dominated by reason and open mindedness and bam! You get bumjugged by a bunch of milk drinking go gooders from some Island of the South Pacific. You can't come right out and state how much you hate their backwards religion with all its hot Scando chicks that all look the same because you are a slave to your rational mind and openmindedness...but on rare occassions the poor fans of the Cal State San Diego just can't take it anymore. Why them milk drinkers are a bunch of dad-gummed CHEATERS AND HYPOCRITES!

My father is a proud alum of Cal State San Diego, he's got a third of his liver to prove it!

The SDSU fan reaction (that we are hearing about) reminds me of reading Cougarboard after the starting Nose-tackle for BYU (I don't remember his name) was lost to a chop block.

Those same exact fans are now attacking SDSU fans.

Perspective is an amazing thing.

I love the saying that, "what we see depends on where we stand".

From where I stand if you take that stand you probably shouldn't support the team from any university or academy or college or prep school.

Every fanbase has it share of fanatical and hypocritical dorks. If you are bothered by hypocrisy, be bothered by all of it otherwise one is what one might call hypocritical.
