I think that if Max lived in my ward he and I would be buddies.
I get the feeling he'd be the crazy guy that your glad was on your side during a fight. Not the strongest, but insane enough to take on everybody. I've always loved Mad Max.
Max Hall is the monster you created. Everytime you chuckled and forwarded a Pepperidge Farm Max Hall Turnovers email, everytime you "honked for intercepting Max Hall", you fed the beast.
The problem is the beast came back and beat you, then rubbed your smug noses in your own shit. Eat it, learn your lesson, and move on.

Well, if Max were in my ward, he and I would be buddies. With you I might have to work harder to achieve that but I would try.

Max doesn't really matter though... He plays for Arizona and only because they suck at quarterback so badly.
He got that interview with Rome because the most interesting thing he's ever done is say that he hates Utah.
He barely beat a rebuilding Ute team with a true freshman quarterback... as a Senior, while playing at home.
I wouldn't call him a monster. Irrelevant ... but not a monster.

I just don't think max really has a platform at all... if he isn't with Arizona.
I was responding to the post, not to Max.

This is quite rich given the amount of panty twisting that occurred among the Ute collective after his post-game comments last Nov. How could one so irrelevant illicit such a reaction? You've got no where to go with this, dude.

I really thought that 25-yard OT pass to George was interesting.
So was that 4th-and-18. That was super interesting.
Also, that undrafted Rookie's gutsy performance leading his team over the reigning Super Bowl champs in his first start? Also very interesting.
His face-off with Heisman darling Sam Bradford's #3 Sooners where he came off victor? Wow, the interesting moments just don't stop with Max.
What about the game where he demolished the Bruins 56-0? You know what?Given his career, I'd say his Utah rant (which was very interesting and awesome btw) barely cracks the top 5 most interesting things Max has done, much to your chagrin. Sorry-- Max wins, bitter Ute fans who feebly try to diminish that-- awesomeness FAIL.

He didn't say anything that hasn't already been said before by players from both teams.
The big deal seemed to be that a Mormon Senior Quarterback from BYU said it, (He is a representative of his faith as much as he is for his team).
You know, along the lines of, "Christ like behavior", "practice what you preach", "turn the other cheek", and just recently Pres. Uchtdorf's talk. BYU claims the football program is an extension of the University's mission.
It seems like he just confirmed a lot of people's preconceived notions about BYU. Many out there made it into a big deal because of the whole "I told you so" idea of BYU speaking about living higher ideals, but not really backing that up in practice. It was easy for many non-LDS people to see a "do what I say, not what I do' situation with Max.
If Utah made it's own "monster"... what did Max do for BYU? Use the same reasoning you did earlier.
I understand it is football. Max might have said what many fans would like to say themselves... but it isn't what the LDS church would want their representatives saying.
I am just pissing in the wind here anyway. BYU fans are going to see it from their own point of view, regardless...
