Maybe it could be a three way trade. Big East can take TCU foe FB and BYU for BB. TCU can go WCC for BB.

we could go on by comparing it with some of the bleacher report articles the CUF newsbot pulls in, but I'm trying to be positive today so I won't.

1)TCU would be a geographical outlier, travel would have some serious issues

2)TCU does not deliver that market

3)The Pac-12 I do not believe is done.

(1) The University of South Florida is already a geographical outlier in the Big East.

(2) TCU doesn't deliver in any market. TCU only has 50K to 75K living alumni and only about 25K in the DFW area. (Case in point: TCU-OSU game at JerryWorld. I don't think they sold more than 50K tickets to that game even after the last minute push when they were advertising tickets for $25. Tickets initially started selling at $100+.)

(3) The Pac-12 would be interested in TCU? LOL. Maybe would also be interested in Boise State for their academics.

I'm still thinking the Big 12 South down the road, Texas will eventually have to chose a conference.

Once Longhorn TV is up and running I don't think they would be interested in the Pac-X. Tech might be interested, however.

The Big East is making the right move. Delivering the market is way overrated in conference expansion. How big is Boise State's market? How much are their TV rights worth right now? Big East has to grab anything they can to stay afloat in football. TCU's their best option.

One other thought on why the Big East would be interested in TCU...

(4) It gives the Big East a recruiting foothold in Texas. This may be the same reason they picked up the USF. Everyone wants a piece of that fertile ground...

TCU doesn't own the DFW market. If anyone owns the college football TV market in DFW it is Texas and OU. And if the Cowboys played on the same day then everyone might forget about them too. (In terms of local tv ratings the cowboys typically score around a 30+. The cowboys even still own a lot of the houston market as well. On the other hand, Texas/OU may get up to about 20 for the red river game. )

There was a time when Big Hair Thompson screwed over the DFW market by moving games to the Mtn when no one in Texas could get the Mtn. No one seemed to care, except for the handful of TCU fans. BYU fans, including myself, did make a pretty good stink, however.

I don't have a problem with the Big Least making more of themselves to stay a float and TCU might be an option in that (I don't know how b-ball would work out though). The article is just poorly written and includes a lot of bogus reasons for the BL to take TCU. Market share may not be that big of a deal, but why make it seem like it is when the fact is that TCU doesn't and will never deliver even a small portion the DFW market, or any market for that matter.
