I don't see a need for a D-lineman to dive at an opposing players knees unless he has the ball. Maybe in goal line situation, but not off the line of scrimmage like this was.

IMO, the blocker's head was clearly in front of the defender.

After that hit I was really aiming to get some of my Brothers with me to gather and have a "talk" with Mr. Bender. But emotions were a little high for anything civil to come out of it... especially when its one of our fellow Poly's. Fuga's a really good smart kid that has a lot of respect... it was sad to see him go down.

The hit may have been legal, but anytime your aiming for the knees your trying to go just outside the rules, like sliding into the shortstop at second base with your cleats up in baseball to try and stop a double play... it's just dirty even if its "legal". I want to know what Romney Fuga says about all this. I'm sure he could cool a lot of tempers.

He's been solid at clogging up the middle, and aloud Manumaleuna to be an absolute beast from the D-end spot. We played well in the second half of the game I guess... but man we needed Fuga.

I wonder if Fuga's injury didn't light some sort of fire under the defense? It seemed like at least on the first drive of the second half they came out a little nasty. They seemed to calm down after that, but I think this D seems to miss that nasty streak needed to really dominate other offenses. I'm not talking Pendleton, Rich and Logan have it, but other members of the defense don't seem to have that.

The FSU coaches made a comment about how BYU's defense isn't physical getting off of the blocks.
