Utah's qb situation is a catastrophe, needless to way. It could be the answer to Heaps' problems, especially with Chow there;also, there'd be the bonus of getting into the Pac 12, and not having to move far. But I have my doubts whether he'd be the answer to Utah's problems.

trust me, he's not. I don't know that he's the answer to anyone's problems right now.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostUtah's qb situation is a catastrophe, needless to way. Interesting idea. Gordon Monson had a recent column suggesting the same. Speaks volumes.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostUtah's qb situation is a catastrophe, needless to way. You want to know his biggest problem? He got married. Yes, at age 19 he wasn't ready. Marriage is now his biggest challenge in life, whereas football and college should have been so. Shame on the LDS Church. He wanted to get l---d and got more than he bargained for. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

I would be really surprised if Hill is the backup his first year back. If Heaps redshirts, I think the QB position looks like this:Originally posted by jay santos View PostHill would have two springs, two summers, two fall camps, and one full season as a backup before starting. In the world of college football quarterbacking, that's a typical level of experience for a new starter. If Hill has even a modest level of talent, he's not going to go down easy in a QB battle, and based on Heaps' current reputation of being a practice hero/game zero, that's not going to be an easy decision for Bronco/Doman. I think the easier route, from Heaps' perspective would be to transfer.
Riley Sr./Lark Sr./Munns Jr.
Heaps RS/ Hill RS
And right now I have no reason to believe Hill's talent level is any higher than Lark/Munns, and they haven't exactly put up much competition in the QB race so far. But it will be interesting to see what happens. Right now I don't think we see Hill before his RS Soph year. If Heaps stays, Hill probably takes over as a RS Jr. If Heaps bolts, I think the inside track for starter after the Riley/Lark graduation would have to go to Munns given his time and experience in the program. It would be interesting to see what would happen if Jake transfers. I think most have pretty much ruled out ever seeing Munns play QB, but he could end up a one year starter as a Sr. before Hill takes over as a RS Soph. Right now I hope we don't see Hill until at least that point. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I guess the way I see it is that Lark and Munns must be terrible, and therefore are not even in the discussion as a future starting QB. I'm not hyping Hill. But if he's identified as a possible future starter and Larks and Munns have already been identified as duds, and Heaps is redshirting, that the coaches will start investing in Hill and he will become the back up and be given the chance to go against Heaps for the starting job the next year.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI would be really surprised if Hill is the backup his first year back. I disagree. You don't have to be able to run, but you do have to be able to scramble and be patient (Kellen Moore, Ben Rothlisberger are prime examples of guys who can't run, but can scramble and are patient). Heaps problem is that he seems to want to avoid contact at all costs and that leads to happy feet and getting rid of the ball too early.Originally posted by Tone Loc View PostMore traditional and that is why if I were him, I would go somewhere else.I'm like LeBron James.
