As much crap as I take about my singular stub hub experience, it should be noted I ended up watching the UT game in decent seats (better than the SH ones) for a total out-of-pocket cost of $25. Though, the tales of my naivety and financial bloodbath are much funner, so carry on.

Yeah, I generally agree. If we can get a MWC-quality November then I don't see much to complain about. At least it shows that we're not worse off than had we stayed.

We'll see if the others start to come around now that one team is scheduling with BYU again. It would be really nice to get either SDSU (maybe Rocky Long's heart will be softened after the bowl game) or Air Force. Two MWC teams that are often in the 50-80 ranking category (with both, but more typically Air Force sometimes being in the 30-50 range). So you get decent average quality with an opponent we have a shared history with.

Colorado St, Wyoming, and New Mexico are going to give you very similar quality on average to UNLV so it wouldbe nice to only have at most two of those teams on the schedule. I think, because of location, UNLV is clearly the most attractive of that bunch, and Colorado St probably has the highest probability of a decent year of the four.

To get more decent quality from regional teams (in November) it probably means scheduling with Nevada or Fresno St. Both give pretty decent average quality. The downside is the history is much thinner with those schools.

Can you ask your computer how much better off we are in terms of schedule quality?
