It is a good schedule next year for once, so I am trying to have a good attitude about it.

We will be getting our tickets again. Agreed the weekday games and weird start times were annoying at times.

That's one of the reasons why ESPN signed us to the long-term contract: to try to get more attractive games on odd days of the week.

Well that and we can get home-homes with oregon, missouri, ole miss, virginia and 2-1 with texas and nebraska. So why would we stoop to a 2-1 with byu?

              I get that.

it just seems our Thursday games haven't been terribly interesting.

I just haven't seen the whole "ESPN is helping us out" with our scheduling. The scheduling problems are improved from the first 2 years, but it doesn't seem like there's a bunch of benefit from being associated with ESPN there.

Directly, ESPN has helped with TCU and Ole Miss. Indirectly, I think ESPN has helped a great deal because they know that BYU home games will be on ESPN instead of the MTN/CBSCS/Versus.

                  And I liked those games.

But they weren't at home. I wish those teams came out here to play.

I'm really not. I'm pretty excited that we're getting Virginia, Cincy, and some of those other teams out. We did a favor for TCU because Texas Tech bailed on them at the last minute. The least they could have done was come up here to play.

I hope to see the day when we can schedule most programs 1/1, because I think we're indy for the long haul.

Not true. The least they could have done is not return the game. Which is what they did.

I'm not sure I'd have played that one without a return game.

They had nowhere to go besides BYU. They played Tennessee Tech that year, and were on the verge of adding another 1aa until BYU helped them out.

Looks like BYU will go to Washington State in 2019. WSU replaced us on their schedule with Southern Utah.

Our quarterback for that game is currently around 13 years old.

1.3M from Michigan seems like a fair trade.

-- Brandon also said the deal with Brigham Young will involve about a $1.3 million guarantee, one of its highest payments to date
