Non-Conference Scheduling rumors

WOW. That is a tough schedule.. But for the team to be on the road 4 weeks straight is even more burtal...

Only 4 home games. NO matter how good they are.. That is disappointing..

I have to think they're working on putting in two more home games.

Yes, because they're going to Hawaii. I don't know that they will, though - they didn't last year, when they played at Hawaii.

I read that wrong. Glad they can try to get someone (other than Weber State or a team with Idaho in the name) at LES later in the year.

That's only 10 games, and I-A schools must have at least 5 home games [1]. There will be more announced. With the Hawaii game in Hawaii, I bet we end up with 6 home games.

BYU could easily extend their home-home with NMSU (going independent) and have that game next year, and then schedule an FCS team. There's 6 home games.

It is when you're strong teams are set for 2013, and your looking for teams to fill out your home schedule (cupcake game), and the fact that BYU decided to make the return trip to Las Cruces this year.

Yep. I guarantee you'll never hear me complain about the strength of BYU's schedule in 2013, even if they fill out the schedule with UVU and a junior college.

It is when you're strong teams are set for 2013, and your looking for teams to fill out your home schedule (cupcake game), and the fact that BYU decided to make the return trip to Las Cruces this year.

You cant always easily get cupcake games at home. No reason to give a team worse than USU a return game again.

The weekend before Thanksgiving, but still a nice late season game. Thanksgiving falls on the 4th Thursday of November, so November 23rd is before that.
