I am now hearing on CB that two teams want out.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostHolmoe: Last second cancellation killed 2013 schedule release

One team that wasn't announced but was a done deal. The other is supposedly a team already on the schedule.
Anyone have any idea who these teams are. Also I heard they may replace a road game with a home game with a shit team and have 7 home games.
Wahoo, you get to pay $150 for two tickets to see a shit team.

Didn't you pay like double that, to have some cute chic golf with you, recently?Originally posted by byu71 View PostI am now hearing on CB that two teams want out.

Not a big loss. I don't want them replaced with a game at home with Weber St. though unless BYU does the right thing and throw the game in for free.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostI think one team is Washington State. Just my uninformed and source free opinion.
They might do that. We all know BYU isn't about the money and they have higher standards than the other money grubbing, football 1st priority schools.

Well, that is who we'll get as far as a replacement.Originally posted by byu71 View PostNot a big loss. I don't want them replaced with a game at home with Weber St. though unless BYU does the right thing and throw the game in for free.

Not even close to being the same thing. For an old fart like me, playing with a young, cute, gal who is a 5 handicap can not be equalled.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostDidn't you pay like double that, to have some cute chic golf with you, recently?

Especially when she wears one of those short skirt ladies golf outfits.

From Jeff Call:
Big break? Optimistic? One of BYU's opponents in 2013, for the second straight year, will be Notre Dame. The Cougars and Fighting Irish will meet again in South Bend.
The two teams agreed to a six-game series in 2010. After next year, no games have been officially announced. "We might take a big break until we play them again," Holmoe said.
However, Holmoe is optimistic that the four other games of the series against Notre Dame — including two in Provo — will be played.

The BYU Cougars and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have set the dates for their 2012 and 2013 football games, BYU has announced.
The Fighting Irish will host the Cougars at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend in both years. The 2012 game will be played on October 20 while the 2013 game will be played on November 16.
BYU and Notre Dame will also play a 4-game, home-and-home series between 2014 and 2020. Exact dates for those games will be announced later.
The Fighting Irish own a 4-2 record all-time against the Cougars. The two schools haven’t played each other since 2005."Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point. That looks to me like a week-old story that doesn't contain any information that isn't already in this thread. What am I missing?Originally posted by dabrockster View Post"What are you prepared to do?" - Jimmy Malone

If you know of any negotiations that had taken place I am all ears.. I would love for them to come to The Shoe.. It would actually be a good addition to Ohio St's schedule for next year.. The OOC schedule looks weak...Originally posted by Joe Public View PostThat looks to me like a week-old story that doesn't contain any information that isn't already in this thread. I don't know anything other than what I read and posted earlier in the thread. In the article linked in that post, Gene Smith said OSU was having discussions with SDSU:Originally posted by dabrockster View PostIf you know of any negotiations that had taken place I am all ears.. “There are discussions,” Smith said. “But there are discussions with other people, too. I can't confirm that anything is done.
“There are five schools that we have contacted that have open dates for 2013. There are a lot of moving parts and short notice to make one of them work.”"What are you prepared to do?" - Jimmy Malone
