My experience with BSU fans outside of message boards has been limited, but the general consensus I've gotten from them is that they are just as deserving as any other FBS program to contend for the National Championship. I've always thought this to be slightly delusional.
I saw the following article posted on Utefans:

I generally think that the writer is a grade-a asshat, but I'd be lying if the article didn't get me thinking about Boise's legitimacy. Why does Boise get to be the exception out of all the other non-aq schools that have gone undefeated?
Here's their 2010 schedule:
Virginia Tech (at Fed Ex Field)
Wyoming (at Laramie, WY)
Oregon State (Bronco Stadium)
New Mexico State (at Las Cruces, NM)
Toledo (Bronco Stadium)
San Jose State (at San Jose, CA)
Louisiana Tech (Bronco Stadium)
Hawai'i (Bronco Stadium)
Idaho (at Moscow, ID)
Fresno State (Bronco Stadium)
Nevada (at Reno, NV)
Utah State (Bronco Stadium)
Aside from VT and OSU, they'll most likely coast.
It's common knowledge that Boise's schedule is primarily made up of cream puffs. In recent years, this has prevented other undefeated teams from playing in the MNC game.
If they run the table this year, does Boise State deserve to play in the Title Game next January?
