We shall see how good those starters really are on offense. They played 2 good defenses last year and scored 17 both games. While Moore had less than 200 yards and 1 TD against Oregon, and just over 200 and 0 TDs against TCU.

If they beat Va. Tech and Oregon State convincingly (or if those teams remain highly ranked and BSU beats them at al), then yes.

I'm worried that their D is too small to win the NC, regardless of who they play.

The d is the most underrated aspect of the BSU game. They showed up big against Oregon and then again against TCU, the two largest games last year.

Last year? It was our 11th most important game of the year, so wasn't a big deal.

Congrats on the big win tonight, your boys showed up in the clutch and took it.

It's absurd that any team should play in the BCS championship game on the strength of beating Virgnia Tech 33-30. Does Boise have any more tests?

Oregon State and they can't sleep on Nevada or USU.

BSU is lucky to have been ranked so highly out of the gate. #3 is way too high, IMO. But it should add plenty of controversy to the season and that will keep things interesting.

It would be funny if they ended up losing to San Jose St. or some other creampuff.

This is why pre-season rankings are pointless. But where are you supposed to rank a team that is coming off an undefeated BCS bowl winning season? They're now 50-4 over the last 4 years. How can they not be ranked that high?

I think the most impressive WAC team this week was Utah State. Flame away.

I actually agree with you here. I didn't watch the game, so I don't know the specifics, but scores usually don't lie. It was a one touch down game. Wow.

Statistically USU was right with Oklahoma, as well. Both teams had almost 500 yards.

You are saying that a loss to Oklahoma is worth more than a win at Virginia Tech (I know it was not technically a home game but it was close enough).
