When they said they would start both Riley and Jake, I said that when you have two quarterbacks, you actually have no quarterbacks. That appears to have been the case.

          Exactly how I feel.

I can't wait to move on from this kid. There's been QB controversy since he's been here, and he's the common denominator.

He sucks, he has cost us multiple wins, and I will be glad to see him gone.

I can understand your sentiments in the last sentence, but as I have said before I can't understand the angst against Riley.

He has played to the best of his ability and like it or not, he does show guts. He worked his butt off and showed the coaches he would do whatever he was asked to help the team.

It is not his fault his coach values work ethic over talent. Heck, I was having this argument over on CB right after Bronco took over and he stated his philosophy.

They will recruit us. We will win with mainly RM's. Football is fifth priority. He loves walk on's and dislikes those who feel entitled.

The culture was set by the head coach for a Riley Nelson to thrive as far as getting onto the field. The culture has not been set to win on the field at the highest level.

In the culture set by Bronco and I assume approved by those who send him letters of support from SLC, I have to be a Riley fan, not detractor.

He may not be able to hit a broad side of a barn with a pass half the time, but that isn't what is most important to his coaches.

              I agree completely.

              • I just feel bad for James Lark. He deserved a chance against Boise or Utah.

You could have always gone to back to Heroball or moved on to Hill later.

There is plenty to blame Riley for. Like 90% of his turnovers.

                  • I wouldn't dislike how he plays if he was able to limit that stuff.

I get that there's a few turnovers that are going to occur here and there, but this guy is like three per game and he can't seem to get a handle on it.

Our defense doesn't cause turnovers very much, so you really have to value every posession and Riley doesn't. And he blatantly and defiantly doesn't.

I don't feel bad for him. Was he ever willing to play on special teams just so he could get on the field?

yep. My anger has always been at the coaches over this.

He should never be out there and that is on the coaches. I wish he would have just stayed an aggie.

I don't know or care. That doesn't make me like Riley more or less that he was willing to do that.

If Riley wanted to do what was best for the team, he should have switched positions years ago.
