I have given my serious advice. Oregon needs a beefier back, Chip needs to make better adjustments when something isn't working, and next season I expect to see far fewer of the ducky antics and newbie behavior. All business. In short, I doubt we see a new "I Love my Ducks" video or much preening about regular season wins next year until after they win it all. I do think Oregon is definitely good enough to get back to the BCS championship game next season, barring injuries and assuming LMJ comes back, of course.

Unlike you, I wasn't rooting against the PAC, esp for the hated SEC.

I don't get that. How has Oregon changed the "game?"

Thanks to the lay off between games, it didn't quite finish as planned and maybe the Nike ad is a little strong, but it's not completely out of line.

From this season they made the up-tempo, unpredictable offense work and implemented the cue card play calling that's a great fit for the college system. That will be a big element that trickles out to programs that can't get the biggest and strongest.

Yeah, the uniforms -- which also appear to be a focal point in the ad with the helmet -- made it even more fun for fans, players and the media. I think it's great that they make it possible for the players to pick something they're excited about.

And don't forget the olden days when Oregon saved the Rose Bowl. Go Webfoots!

Random question: how did a die-hard Ducks fan get roped into posting here? (I enjoy your posts, btw, so this is not a criticism, but a curiosity).

I grew up a BYU fan, going to games with my big brothers and having them take me to campus. BYU will always have a tug on my fan heart. However after my mission I realized that Utah was not going to be a place I wanted to live any longer than it took me to be able to afford to move away. I met my wife, we married, moved to Eugene, I went to school at Oregon, saw a mop-haired kid named Luke Ridnour and became a Duck.

It has been a gradual transition. I still watch every BYU football game and try to attend one a year, but I knew I had fully transformed watching the Vegas Bowl and being upset instead of happy for the BYU win. I care about BYU and always will cheer for them, just not when they play Oregon.
