I actually agree with this, but sincerely.

They should have done the unpopular thing and left the SEC out. Florida state should have been in but I have a hard time feeling bad for them.

Looking forward to the Utah/UCF style national championship that Florida state and Liberty will claim if they win their bowl game!

But on behalf of BYU, Tulane, Marshall, and any number of other have-nots that were left on the outside looking in because you kept the system just small enough to keep them out, I say, enjoy the bed you made for yourself.

The ACC, PAC12 and BIG10 (the "Alliance") all voted in February 2022 against playoff expansion. The vote was 8 for and 3 against out of all 10 FBS conferences plus Notre Dame, but it had to be unanimous.

What happened next? The PAC12 imploded this year (so much for that alliance) and the ACC and FSU got screwed this year. Karma always comes a-knockin'.

So stupid. If you run thru a p5 conference, plus a very challenging (read: sec) out of conference slate you should definitely be in.

I think the decision on the four teams was perfect!

Two of next year’s B1G teams and two of next year’s SEC teams.

Both are difficult but deciding who is best is more objective than deciding who is deserving.

In an 8 team playoff, Liberty also makes it in being undefeated and arguably the highest ranked p5.

I think 12 teams is too much. Too many second and third chances there.

The committee has been preparing everyone for the exclusion of FSU for the past two weeks. They say their criteria are the "best teams," not "most deserving."
