We had neighbors freshman year of hs bolt to Loveland’s town to play football, and I heard be seen by recruiters. Older son rs at ISU, didn’t come back and play, younger one signed with Eastern Washington, Covid year. Neither played down of college football. One even told tv reporter he hoped to play in pro,s. They get bulls out of the way at rodeos now.

I don't really like either team tonight. I'm not sure who I should cheer against. Any advice?

Michigan was my favorite team until 1984, when I was in high school. BYU wasn't much in the picture for me because no family members had attended and I literally had seen zero BYU football games on TV before the '84 Holiday Bowl (no real opportunity where I was. But I did attend one live in Wisconsin with ward members).

If you lived in Chicago at the time, you either cheered for Notre Dame or some Big 10 team. This was when tOSU and Michigan were the only two Big 10 programs who ever did anything, and somehow I ended up being a Michigan fan.

So, long story short, I am cheering for Michigan. The only thing that is holding me back is my buddy who is a hugely obnoxious Michigan fan. He went to BYU undergrad and Michigan for grad school. He cheers for both but is a bigger Michigan fan than BYU fan. I am always suspicious of people whose fandom is based more on their grad school than undergrad.
