Vegas is a shithole The poor saps who are forced to live there because they don't have better options will try with all their might to make the best of a shitty situation but it's still a shitty situation and no number of stadiums, arenas, casinos, or temples of the COJCOLDS will ever make it otherwise.

No state income tax, insane food, might be the best all around food city in America, easily top 3 sports town, 4 hours to the beach, incredible centralized airport with tons of direct flight options both domestic and international, pacific time zone - IYKYK, 5 hours to Hawaii, 2.5 hours to Cabo, 5 hours to NYC, outdoor weather 11/12 months, gaming, premier concert stop, music festivals.

Its a solid solid place to live.

Suburban Clark County shares more in common with suburban SLC, Phoenix, and Boise than it differs. I genuinely see little difference in quality of life for most people (schools are probably better in a couple of places). Suburban utah is by far the most boring but it makes up for it in safety and economic stability. I would have no problem living among my in-laws in Vegas if it weren't for my pale skin and hatred of shorts and flip flops. Summers are unbearable.
