  • I was expecting BYU's O-line to steadily open bigger and bigger holes in the Oregon defensive front, leading to bigger and bigger gains. Maybe they could have done that if not for being down by a bazillion points and having to pass the ball, but it didn't look particularly promising.

There were a few missed opportunities on offense. Oregon didn't seem to miss any opportunities. The Cougar defense provided a little less resistance than warm butter.

    • Interesting that NBC picked this up. I think it makes some good points.

The schools responded the right way, I'm sure it wasn't pleasant for BYU fans, but Mormons should go on being nice. It's a positive trait generally ascribed to Mormons. Don't give it up. There are more oppressed out there who are more deserving of victimhood. This wasn't a lynching or a pogrom. It was a dumb student section in a football game chanting something dumb. And the world has gotten better, as evidenced by the condemnations and apologies. What else should happen? Move on.

But at the game on Saturday, some 20 year old Oregon coed yelled at me "how does it feel to not know what caffeine tastes like!?" as I passed her in the concourse. I felt so unsafe!

On that note, I like the taste of coke zero over caffeine free coke zero. The difference is subtle, but real.

I imbibe a ton of caffeine and I am not sure what it tastes like.

I didn’t even know they made caffeine free DP.

the sugar probably does more harm that the caffeine.
