What's your excuse for not playing in LES? You're going to have to get rid of a game if you play BYU in 2011. Why not play in LES?

Hint, it is the same reason BYU doesn't want to give it up. Not enough home games on the schedule if they play this on the road. Tough schedule yes, but revenue is a huge factor.

No one else's life revolves around it either. It still is the rivalry game and is a game I look forward to. If they skip a year it won't be the biggest travesty ever. I would just like the game to happen.

Iowa st (their return for 2010 visit) that has already been canceled)
Oregon (their return for 2009 visit)

Since there will probably be 9 Pac-12 conference games Utah will need one OOC Home game to reach 6 home games for the year. Since Utah doesn't have a contract to play byu like they do the other games they are asking byu to play twice in Salt lake. If byu wont do that then yes Utah will get wyoming or weber st.
Here's a solution. Delay the BSU game until 2012 and then you can play BYU at LES in 2011. Games get moved/delayed all the time so it shouldn't be an issue. Then you can pick up Wyoming or some other patsy to replace Oregon, which will now be a conference game.

They will only have 3 conference games as the Pac 12 will continue with playing 9 conference games, in order to screw the conference.

From what I have read up here, Oregon @ Utah will just hold as a conference game.

I've been pushing for that since the announcement to the pac-12 was made. That is best solution. Of course Boise st would have to agree.

Solution: Rio Tinto Stadium. 23k strong will watch the first non-conference rivalry game.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Well, your alternative would require BYU to have 3 non-conference road games in 2011 since we are scheduled at OSU and at Texas. We will have 4 away conference games for a total of 7 away games. Only 12 games are allowed so you are asking BYU to have 5 home games in 2011 so Utah can avoid having 5 home games in 2011?

Is my math wrong on this one? Maybe I don't have all the facts.

That's my thought process also. If one team has to bite the bullet it should be the one driving the changes and the one who made public commitments to keep the rivalry. If Hill and Holmoe didn't come to an agreement before Hill made the comments, then the burden rests solely with Utah to make it work. BYU doesn't have the PAC-12 money to make such concessions.
