This whole thing is just amazing.Originally posted by 8BR View PostIf Fresno and Reno left the WAC, would the WAC cease to exist, per NCAA bylaws? I looked it up, it's 6 members with 5 a year history. If Fresno and Reno left the WAC it would still be one school above the cut line.Originally posted by 8BR View PostIf Fresno and Reno left the WAC, would the WAC cease to exist, per NCAA bylaws? He said Cal State Fresno, but meant Fresno State.Originally posted by woot View PostOk it seems they play in the Big Sky and have a rivalry with UC-Davis. Surely this http://twitter.com/Harmonwrites tweet was a typo?Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

We don't?Originally posted by ERCougar View PostThe more I think about this, the more excited I get...
Some wishful thinking for a moment (but not crazy out there thinking)--Let's say BSU stays in the WAC. TCU would be crazy to turn down an invitation and the WAC would be crazy not to extend one. Similar thing with UNLV and SDSU for basketball, but let's just talk football for now. That leaves BYU with 4-6 WAC games, with I'm sure some choice over which teams they'll play. Let's say USU, Hawaii, BSU, and TCU, and maybe one or two others. Play ND conference championship weekend. Start a series with the 3 service academies. One or two BCS teams in September. I'd take that schedule over Utah's (not that that's our comparison
).
No wonder the Utes don't like this.

Fresno state accepting is a no-brained. If BYU doesn't bolt, they get a better conference. If BYU does bolt, they say just kidding and they get a better conference - especially if Boise State pulls the rug out too.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostWell, that sucks.Awesomeness now has a name. Confirmed that Fresno and Nevada accepted MWC inviteOriginally posted by scottie View PostAssuming BSU stays put in the WAC, why would any school want to be part of the MWC in 2011?

Can Fresno do that? I can't imagine now that the MWC doesn't have some sort of contract waiting for Fresno and Nevada.Originally posted by nikuman View PostFresno state accepting is a no-brained. But I also can't imagine that this decision doesn't have to be made by some sort of board. If the Utes had to meet to accept a PAC 10 invite, these guys have to meet for this. It can't be official yet.Originally posted by USU Coug View PostCan Fresno do that?
