No one ever likes their rival's play-by-play guy. I can't stand Wrubell but I am sure BYU fans just love him. If I were a BYU fan I'm sure I would too.

I think Wrubell is great. I can see why Utah Fans don't like him. I don't care who calls Utah games.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

        I didn't like Paul James.

And I don't like Wrubell. So, unlike Zoots, we Zoobs aren't all begoggled homers.

I don't like Dolce and I kind of tolerated Marcroft. Maybe I should be worried about my equipment:

I really liked Matt Thomas. I wish they could get him back. But let's be honest, the best part of these broadcasts is when they send it down to Shareef.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

                  I've been thinking about this.

I think the Utes should go after Tom Kirkland to replace Dolce. I know he is a play-by-play guy, but it sounds like anyone would be an improvement on Dolce.

It seems like taking Bill Riley has worked out. Why not take Kirkland off of KSL as well

                  ....

                  Please?

The highlight of any Ute game broadcast is when Shareef and Dolce start talking to each other

The best was when Marcroft and Dolce were together. You could hear Dolce yelling touchdown before Marcroft even knew what was happening. Not to mention the added bonus of Marcroft screwing up the names. In 2003 Chris Elliot and Arnold Palmer played for the utes and that was fun.

                        Classic Dolce.

I don't think BYU fans want this thread to become a discussion of the foibles of each school's "voice." Remember, you guys have Paul James and Greg Wrubell to defend. Not to mention Jay Monson, who used to be not only the voice, but the light of the KBYU re-broadcasts. Is he still doing that?
