If Lavell, Steve, and Ty start making noise it will happen.

Let's give #9 the honor he so deserves.

Jimmy Mac was back in town and visiting with Holmoe. He tweeted this picture saying he was proud and happy to see his stuff around campus. He also said he is working on finishing his degree and has 3 classes to go.

@bgdady11 no battle my man I respect @BYU as they will #respect me #induction #6credits

I will be sorely tempted to head out to Provo when Jimmy Mac gets his due.

A couple of months ago, BYU called asking me to donate. I said, "I'll donate again when Jim McMahon is in the BYU Hall of Fame."

The poor telemarketer broke protocol and asked, "He's not in the Hall of Fame? Really?"

Come on BYU. Get this done.

Now we know who put the wheels in motion. When I demand things for my donations I just hear them laughing in the background.

I agree. Making him get his degree beyond absurd. The dude has every right to spurn BYU but he's been a good son. Look at his response I posted above to a tweet when someone basically said it was BS he's not in BYU's HOF. I can't wait until he's given his due. LES will be rocking when he does.

BYU is the only major university I've found that has a graduation requirement for its athletic hall of fame. Since it was instituted specifically to keep McMahon out, it's ridiculous and should just be removed. There's a lot of things I love about BYU, but the McMahon rule is one of the things I hate about the BYU attitude.

Jimmy should be in the HoF, but I wonder what the academic requirement, if any, should be. On the one hand, I think I'd oppose the admission of a one-year wonder (esp. in b-ball) where a kid used the year to prep for the NBA/NFL and did the bare minimum to remain academically eligible. On the other hand, if he stayed all four years, remained eligible throughout, but fell a little short of graduation I wouldn't oppose admission. What line, if any, should be drawn?

                            Oh, and yes...

Imagine the highlight reel that will play as Jimmy walks onto the field, including multiple comeback wins, McMahon-to-Brown, the Vikings MNF football game, chewing out Edwards on fourth down in San Diego, etc.

McMahon dissed the school and it's "code" not only verbally but physically while he was there. However, I stongly suspect if we have that on field ceremony he will receive a huge ovation. Deservedly so in my opinion.

When Davies was allowed to sit with the team, he received a strong positive reception for the crowd.

Do you think it bugs any of the higher ups that your average fan doesn't have much respect for the Honor Code?

He's already been back and received that ovation.
