This time next week, he won't be.

I really think Wynn's Inigo Montoya look is pretty impressive lately.

You didn't get quite enough credit for this one.

So KJZZ is paying $15M/year to have the rights to broadcast the Ute games that nobody else will pick up? And then they offer to broadcast those games for free (see Montana St. game)?

Yikes. I would love to see their financials after a few years of that.

He's talking about the PAC 12 regional channels, not the local KJZZ type deals.

Wishful thinking or not I don't see that as any more of a sign of OU's departure, I honestly don't. They are simply trying to keep Texas' head in the vice and turn.

I will laugh at Larry Scott though if he suddenly has an epiphany that expanding the PAC to 14 has merits which he hadn't considered just a week ago.

                    • So what does OU want Texas to concede that's forcing this game of chicken?

I wonder if OU really wants to force aTm to stay as well?

                        • I don't know what the regents are thinking. The Sooners have absolutely owned the Big Twelve. Even knowing the numbers beforehand, I was still taken aback when I got to Texas Memorial Stadium and saw the measly listing of Big 12 titles posted on the wall. I can't imagine why the Sooners would want to give up its dominion.

To what end? What does OU want from Texas?

This has been my thoughts all along as well. So is it money? I ask again is there really that much more money for OU in the PAC than there would be in the next Big 12 deal?

I think it's that they don't want play Snow White and end up stuck in a no-name conference with a bunch of dwarves in the case that Texas bails. Instead they're going to take their chances and bail first.
