I think OU wants to go. Especially Stoops, he is always talking about his wet dreams about playing USC in the Coliseum and against his brother in Arizona.

I think OSU on the other hand knows that if it doesn't move with OU it dies like TT, Kansas, K-State, Iowa St., and Baylor.

The more I think about this, the more I think that a lot of the moves that have been made in the last couple of years are going to be viewed as inconsequential at best (and flat out dumb at worst) in about a decade.

I think it will take roughly that long for super conference TV deals to make like the 16-team WAC and start buckling under their own weight.

ten years is a long time.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

It pains me to do this but now I'm buying in to y'alls superstition and I feel like this avatar is my penance. I hope you don't mind. It's hurting me almost as much as it's hurting you.

thank you for making this change. you're premature avatar-ulation has caused some pain.

we also appreciate the correct usage of "y'alls" in a sentence.

I wouldn't worry about it. I would think the announcement thread would have offended the Eumenides much moreso than your avatar.

They go to the best football conference (and most stable) and that's idiotic? They weren't really competitive in the big 12 so not being competitive in the sec won't be much of a change for them.

This is what I was trying to explain to my friend (well, used-to-be friend) when he was telling me that he was concerned that his beloved A&M "might not be competitive in the SEC right away."

Don't the UT alums call them t-shirters? (meaning they didn't actually go to school there and are merely bandwagoners)
