  • Can I assume that someone from tv land has said they'll pay for this?

Also: can we really say SMU accepted "less?" Isn't it more correct to say they accepted not getting paid at all?

Would be hilarious if SMU went without any payout for the next eight years or so and then the ACC breaks up and they get left out in the cold.

        Yes, that will be hilarious.
        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

They get no media money for however many years but they do get money from playoff and bowl game payouts and the NCAA basketball tournament. Those sources might still add up to more than they were getting total from the AAC.

I saw somewhere that it is more than they currently get from the AAC.

Watching ute fans get dragged on twitter is fun.

                  • Being snooty about conference tournament locations is a weird stance. As one who goes to Vegas every year for the tournament Vegas I will miss going with the Big 12. I'm just not going KC. BTW.. How is the tourney in KC not an unfair advantage for Kansas?

It's one thing for a tournament for a league that only gets a couple of teams into the real tournament to give a home court advantage to someone. For a conference like the Big 12 that might get a double digits number of teams in, it becomes a who cares kind of thing, I think.

                      • The Utes just want it in Vegas since they get knocked out in the first round every time and then have to kill a couple more days. Plus, they wouldn’t know good BBQ if it hit them over the head.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I remember a pre-MOB conference I attended at Fort Leavenworth, and the rack of ribs I got down the road. Holy smokes they were huge! I stuffed myself silly and got a box. Woke up at 0100 and polished them off even though I was still full.

the only good thing about it being in KC is there wont be as many azholes.

This is such blasphemy. KC is one of the three great BBQ cities in the world.
