Haha, Mizzou went from perennial middle-of-the-pack in the Big XII to winning the western division of the SEC. Pinkel has had them on the rise for awhile, but Mizzou was nothing special for a long time in the Big XII.
Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

          Sec East not West.

          • Both schools were chronic underachievers for years. A&M obviously is more advantaged, but Mizzou does have St Louis and KC, with no other FBS competition in-state.

Hard to do when you refuse to play them.

                    • Expand or Perish

The expansion questions were inevitable ever since Oklahoma president David Boren said last month that adding two teams won't reduce TV payouts to current members. Commissioner Bob Bowlsby claimed that a majority of the Big 12 presidents and chancellors are not in favor of expansion -- for now -- but he left the door wide open when he said "there are probably four or five in the middle who are persuadable one way or the other."

The Big 12 might not have a choice but to preemptively wade into the expansion waters before its current members are poached again. Just as a reminder, even before the Pac-10 and SEC made their flirtations five years ago, as many as five Big 12 schools also danced with the Big Ten.

                          LOL

KC is not a KU town.

No. I'm starting to lose faith that there is any substance to this round of rumors.

Follow up from the same guy, further down the thread...

...It's legit, no press release till all the incidentsls are ironed out, but Tom presented a great case, and it was Oklahoma of all people that backed Texas to get us to the table.

Also, some of the recent changes with our BOT got the vote where it needs to be to accept the terms with them...
Ha! So, is this a deal that needs to be done before October, when 2 new apostles are added?
