Yes - because MWC teams are definitely in the mix for the national championship. And playing BYU would probably lower their strength of schedule compared to their other options. What are their other options again? This morning one of the drive time radio guys was talking about this. His basic comment was "I don't get it? What is the downside to scheduling BYU for a MWC team? Don't they want to have their game on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU? Have you been to the stadium during their games? They aren't selling those things out...unless BYU comes. And let's be honest. If the MWC ever has a candidate for the playoffs it's going to be Boise. As BYU is on Boise's schedule every year for the next 8+ years, it seems unwise to disparage BYU as the Broncos will be needing to justify their schedule as always.Comment
