I think these are some of the concessions BYU would have to make. This and more of the night games they talked about. But we'd get good national exposure.* Boise State and BYU have a history of playing on Thursday or Friday night. This year alone, Boise State has three non-Saturday games and BYU has two. That would relieve pressure from the Big 12, which is contracted to provide four Thursday night games a year to ESPN or FOX, even though most schools don’t like hosting on Thursday and OU absolutely won’t host on Thursday.

Sunday play is a non starter. Shift everything to Friday-Saturday for series with BYU. Big whoop. The conference championships are bigger deal, but like he suggested, schedule it so the championship is Saturday, or keep it on Sunday with the caveat that it shifts to Monday if BYU makes the final. I had the exact same thought. That was an argument I had never considered but makes a lot of sense.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostI thought the part about using games in the Mountain Time Zone to bust the Pac 12's late night monopoly was a great point I hadn't really thought about."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

why is it such a big deal? Did the arena suddenly become unavailable?Originally posted by jay santos View PostNBD to change a championship game from Sunday to Monday one day in advance?Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

It's a bigger deal than Surfah is saying but not that big of a deal. Most of those championships are not heavily attended. Men's basketball ends on Saturday, right? The only one with a major issue would be Women's basketball which the author mentioned.Originally posted by jay santos View PostNBD to change a championship game from Sunday to Monday one day in advance?

The other point the article makes that I just want beat people over the head with that don't get it, is that it doesn't really matter how big the market is, it matters how good the team is. Philadelphia is a lot bigger market than Boise, but bringing Temple to your conference does not mean Philadelphia will start watching Big 12.Originally posted by Surfah View PostI had the exact same thought. Tramel not done with BYU yet: now he tackles the "football only" myth
http://m.newsok.com/byu-boise-state-...medium=twitter
someone send Berry tramel one of those BYU 50 boxes or at least a t shirt or something.I’m now on record. Brigham Young and Boise State for Big 12 expansion. I wrote about it for the Friday Oklahoman, which you can read here....
...The Big 12 does not need to stop the bleeding. The Big 12 needs a cure. I believe BYU and Boise State could be that cure. But only as full-fledged members.
