I haven't heard anything new but I will say that based on aTm's announcement, WE ARE IN BITCHES! I can't wait until next year. I'm going to every conference road game for the first two years. See you in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Missouri etc.

Colorado was 75% in year one, then full in year two (IIRC they're phased in faster because they were already a BCS school).Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIs Colorado getting the same deal? What was the official explanation for phasing in revenue to a school that you invite to join up? I was AWOL last summer and so I never read the daily deets like I am this time around.
Also, it is my understanding that the full share does not come in year 2, correct?
Utah gets a share of the P12 title game revenue in year one (but no TV revenue), 50% in year two, 75% in year three, and full in year four."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

Why? Has that ever been explained? Was it simply because they could do it to Utah?Originally posted by BoylenOver View PostColorado was 75% in year one, then full in year two (IIRC they're phased in faster because they were already a BCS school).

That was the main question (although I did ask for deets). What is the official explanation?Originally posted by Surfah View PostWhy? Has that ever been explained? Was it simply because they could do it to Utah?
Were similar deals given to schools such as South Florida or East Carolina when they joined up with their conferences?
Of course, if, big if, BYU joins up with the B12, let's see what happens to them, too.
I imagine it would be different because BYU is currently making much more than Utah was making as a member of the MWC when it jumped to the PAC. Still seems like a weird deal, though.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I didn't believe these BYU fans existed, but this guy's last two tweets kill me:
#TAMU is free from the tyranny of the Big XII. WOOHOO! Now, let's all stop the STUPID idea that #BYU should join the Big 12.http://twitter.com/#!/Russwarne#BYU, listen to a #TAMU Aggie: Joining the Big XII would be a HUGE mistake.

Are you taking him too literally here? I don't think that he meant that we were literally playing in Austin every year. Why would the other B12 members be cool with Texas getting a special deal?Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostIf veddarhall is correct then our negotiations with the Big 12/Texas have not gone well. Why would we agree to play Texas in Austin every year?!?At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah
