Seriously don't get the "you didn't get an immediate full share" smack. Utah is sitting pretty no matter how you look at it.
It isn't smack, it is a legitimate question.
If BYU gets invited but gets some bizarre rev deal for four years while the other 2 schools coming in get dissimilar, more favorable treatment, you won't want to know why? The correct response is not "we will agree to whatever."
At least not in our case. BYU has leverage. It has a fallback option that pays more than the MWC.
Perhaps BoylenOver is not in the know to answer the question, which could explain his attempts to dodge the issue. it may be better served to someone like LA Ute that pretends to be in the know.
But absent any other explanation, and given the PACs initial expansion targets, doesn't it seem more like a buy-in than an invite?
And is this one of the issues that BYU is currently wrangling with the B12? It isn't out ofmthe realm of possibility to assume BYU could receive similar treatment from the B12 overlords.
With the massive instability of the Big XII..... a "BCS" league BIG XII....being raided, and defections, and rumors of crumbling....
I would think that Beebe is as bad a commissioner as Hair is for the MWC. I just can't believe that the Big XII, who has some of the biggest MAJOR players in all of college football has been thrown about like a rag doll by the college football world.
No wonder he got axed. You would think a power conference as good as the Big X II would have been proactive enough to protect their conference, teams, and keep things together and raid OTHER conferences.
I'm glad Beebe is gone. And BYU isn't even in the conference and I'm glad he's gone.

Hmm... Good motivation for me to remain active I guess.
For the same reason you love that awful radiohead album, you believe everything you read.
Inviting Louisville is great. It was expected and shows that the B12 is moving quickly to get back to 12. You can ignore the spin...this conference fired Beebe for staying put at 10 teams and the departure of aTm has shown how fragile a 10 team conference can be. They didn't hire a new commish simply to stay at 10.
The last domino has dropped. aTm is now officially gone. The B12 is doin work today and all this week.
