I say this in all seriousness. If BYU turns down the Big 12 for Indy/WCC, I am out.

This is a great point. I've caught myself thinking the same thing. BYU needs to take the offer if extended. The BCS is a club to which they have to gain entry if offered. The problem is if the super-conference thing becomes a reality and somehow BYU gets left on the outside.......we become Weber State with a really big stadium.

I guess we could rejoin the MWC again or the WAC but it will be hard for those teams to recruit and many may slide down into the playoff subdivision. Some of them should already be there.

Eleven of the 12 Southeastern Conference presidents will meet Sunday at a secret location to discuss the admission of Texas A&M to the league, according to a high-ranking SEC official with first-hand knowledge of the talks.

The official said there was a 30 to 40 percent chance that the presidents could vote against Texas A&M’s membership. He also said there was the issue of which university would become the 14th team, something many in college sports will monitor.

“We realize if we do this, we have to have the 14th,” the SEC official said. “No name has been thrown out. This thing is much slower out of the chute than the media and blogs have made it.”

It appears the other teams joining aTm are Clemson, FSU and Missouri.

I don't like this rumor. Losing A&M is bad, but not fatal. But losing both A&M and Mizzou could be enough to make the rest of the schools look for new homes and kill the Big 12.

Seems to me that this is a really stupid move for A&M, a really good move for the SEC.
