Except Mizzou is now in the SEC . . . .Originally posted by PolyCougar View PostI think Red Legger and the Big 12 combo would be great... give me some BBQ and the Big 12 tourney and I'm happy as can be. And I'm sure Missouri would love a wave of Mormons walking around as Gov. Lilburn Boggs rolls in his grave.

If any of you get good solid, irrefutable, take it to the bank, I would bet my mothers life on it information, please share via PM. I have to make a decision here in a few weeks.
If anyone would like to buy great seats for BYU's 2012 home season, let me know. I might know where I can get 2-10 of them.

I'm in the same boat. April deadline looming and I need to decide whether to renew a set of 4 stadium donor seats. This year the total price after Cougar Club fees is $2500. The price doesnt bother me as much as the home schedule.Originally posted by byu71 View PostIf any of you get good solid, irrefutable, take it to the bank, I would bet my mothers life on it information, please share via PM. if I don't renew this year, I lose the seats forever. If I renew, I buy myself an off year next season and won't have to revisit this until 2014, by which time BYU will be in the B12 and the seats will be quite valuable.
I think I just answered my own question.

Yeah, but it is Kansas City, Missouri. The Sprint Center and Arrowhead Stadium are all in Missouri, along with the associated nightlife in downtown KC next door to the Sprint Center. The politics involved in losing MU have prompted speculation as to why the Big 12 would continue providing revenue to the state of MO through its tournaments in KC.Originally posted by Marvelous View PostI think PC's comment was in reference to BYU fans strutting around Kansas City during the Big XII basketball tournament - not that BYU would have anything to do with the University of Missouri.
I don't think that holds a lot of water, because KC is closer to KU than MU, by about 1/2. Being that KU is, well KU, I think the Big 12 basketball tournament will likely stay in KCMO. As for the football tournament game, that's kind of a moot point ATM, but if/when the league gets back to 12 teams, I think KC will lose the Big 12 football championship game in favor of Jerry's World in Dallas.Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

KC lost the football championship game to Dallas/Jerry World back in 2009, 2010. Cowboys Stadium seems like a good home for it when they get back to 12 teams going forward.Originally posted by atheistcougar View PostYeah, but it is Kansas City, Missouri. Seriously. Big 12 expansion is like when the Viper first opened at Six Flags; it was an incredible roller coaster, but after the 20th time, just thinking of riding it again made you want to vomit.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostPlease don't tease us with vague references to your insider info.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

Yep. The Big12 CCG if/when it comes back will be held in Cowboys Stadium - it's never going back to Arrowhead or anywhere else. Part of the reason why the Big 12 agreed to move the football CCG to Jerry World was to keep the basketball tourney in KC. This didn't go over very well in Nebraska - a traditional football power with a weak basketball program. It essentially gave OU or UT a home game for the CCG. Something Husker fans are sensitive to after having to play in the Orange Bowl against Miami (on their home field) or FSU (a defacto home game) with a national title on the line. But KU and Mizzou were all to happy to trade the football CCG for the basketball tourney. Now that Mizzou is off to the SEC, I bet it's only a matter of time before the Big 12 basketball tourney gets moved to the American Airlines Center - home of the Dallas Mavericks.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostKC lost the football championship game to Dallas/Jerry World back in 2009, 2010.
