He says there is an expansion committee and the Big 12 will be back to 12 teams next year and not this year. This tells me he is playing it close to the vest so it will happen this year!!!
Was also reading the other boards and they are stating the Big 12 has to have the schedule out to Fox on February 1, 2012..
Big 12 football schedule will be released February 1, 2012 per contract with Fox. However the contract with Fox may be void if we do not have ten teams playing football. ESPN is wanting to pick up the Tier 1 contract and add Louisville and BYU. If you remember Neinas from his Big 8 days....he is a sly fox and he could pull this off if the WVU deal is not completed by next Wednesday which would make the Fox deal void and then ESPN could step in to bring in Louisville, WVU, and BYU. I am not sure if TCU is completely out of the Big East contract yet.
