To this I completely and wholeheartedly disagree, always have, always will (even while still a mormon, just like every other missionary loving mormon). If what you say is true then all missionary efforts of all churches everywhere should cease and people should just respect people's beliefs as they are since they aren't debatable.

Does anyone think the Big East has a chance at preventing more defections? I think they have a shot at keeping Louisville because they want to stay anyway for Basketball reasons. If they can salvage a halfway respectable football conference, they might stay. My gut says WV is gone.Comment

The Big East wants 12 football schools...
Let the land grab begin.The Big East will look to double in size on the football side -- from six schools after Pittsburgh and Syracuse leave for the ACC to 12 -- according to a statement released by the league following a conference call today of Big East presidents and chancellors.
According to the statement, commissioner John Marinatto has been authorized "to engage in formal discussions with additional institutions and (we) are considering a model that includes 12 football-playing schools."
One way to achieve that, without stretching the basketball side beyond 16 schools, would be to add Air Force, Boise State and Navy for football only. Air Force has publicly acknowledged its interest in the Big East while Boise, as reported by The Star-Ledger last night, has been discussed by league officials. Some of the Big 12's expansion options could be taken off the table. The teams mentioned as the Big East having their eye on include: AFA, Boise St, Houston, SMU, Navy, Army, UCF, Temple, East Carolina, and Memphis.Originally posted by Viking
