Agreed. It's great if they want to stay, but if they are going to try to join the "look how important we are!" game that will lead to increased factions in the Big 12, I think you let them go. Only keep those that are committed, and bring in those that are committed.

I don't understand the thinking of the SEC... First, they were hesitant on aTm because they didn't want to make the Big 12 breakup and be in litigation with Ken Starr and company. Now the Big 12 is looking stable again they are entertaining the idea of adding Mizzou?

The message from B12 to Mizzou is: shape up or ship out. They have plenty of people to fill the role. There is no negotiating power the Tigers have. Hell, they are making aggy look smart.

Their end game is to stay right where they're at because it's their only option. They just want their seat moved at the table and are tired of being upstaged by everyone else.

Really, they're just trying to save face and are doing the same thing Larry Scott did. Texas was never going to the Pac 12. Larry Scott beats everyone though with his brilliantly crafted press release and he's hailed as the savior of college football. Mizzou can pretend they have an offer to the SEC and then turn it down and like that they've saved the Big 12.

After tomorrow's meetings all will be resolved. BYU will be announced shortly thereafter.

I honestly think some of these guys read what I write and regurgitate. Note the timing of the Louisville post I made followed by a tweeter (whatever) thereafter that got everyone in a tizzy.

I don't have a legit BYU source and I doubt Chip does, either.

Let's just consider the BYU "source" for a moment: what legitimate insider would spill beans to someone they know will go out onto CB/CUF and disclose confidential info? Not a single one, esp with ESPN in the mix.

The only info is coming out of the great state of Texas and that changes as often as the weather.

- On A&M ... every university has a right to do what it thinks is best for them. Whether or not UT will play A&M in the future is up to Dodds, Powers and the regents. He's excited about the Big 12 moving forward. Wanted a regional league where coaches and parents can see their kids. Important for players, parents, coaches and fans to be able to see games.
