  • Doctorcoug, dear brother, you make me proud:

"I would love to see OU and UT sucking wind at the foot of Miss Timp while heaps lives up to his name, but I fear that we would only see this once before we got the ugly chick in the el camino who has crotch rot and razor burn on her upper lip."

Hell no. Screw Mississippi. I'll watch that on TV. Keep your shirt on this time and don't hang around DDD.

I don't eat pork any more. Something about pig brains blasted into hot dogs, spam, etc.

Yes I'm here for a few more days, regrettably.

If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

I saw her hoo hah today, but, in my description of her above, I graciously left out the feculant odor that permeated my olfactory nerve for the better half of the afternoon. SJSU may have a buffalo hump, but at least her hoo haw doesn't smell like she last wiped one week ago.

No. I don't live in Utah County and feel the need to fly private once one has his/her first $10MM in the bank or own golf carts to drive around in a neighborhood.

I just can't imagine that BYU would want to join a B12 that has SMU knocking on the door as well. If you lose A&M and the other 3 mentioned (rumors Mizzou could bounce as well), they would be stepping back into another MWC/WAC situation.

The B12 is a wounded baby hippo, all the while the lions are licking their chops, and the vultures are circling overhead.
and then we are right back were we are now. The risk is miniscule. Its time to help nurse that baby hippo back to health so it can bite a lion in half with one chomp like his daddy used to do!

                      • New article on the trib that adds absolutely nothing.

                        http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/sports/...tball.html.csp

"However, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned that BYU officials have had discussions with Big 12 officials within the past week regarding the school’s interest in joining the conference, and what conditions and assurances it would need to make the jump exactly a year after announcing they were breaking away from the Mountain West Conference."

I wonder if BYU hasn't built up a relationship wth ND over the years and looks to the school for advice when it comes to the independence path. Someone else who is better connected might know more.
                            Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                            • Could Baylor be holding up the process? Its pretty clear they don't like Mormons. They only need 2 other schools to go along with them to block byu. You also have a state school where the state had an extermination order against Mormons for a 150 years.

                              Just a thought.

No, it is in Baylor's best interest to keep the Big 12 together. In fact, it seems they have made it somewhat clear they will be suing if the Big 12 falls apart given they will be out millions and have some deep pockets to back the legal costs.

Nobody stands to lose more than Baylor if the Big 12 dissolves or is downgraded.

While A&M and the University of Texas stand to gain by going their separate ways, Baylor would be left without a dance partner. Baylor’s only chance to stay in a BCS conference is if the Big 12 stays intact. That is why they started a grassroots campaign to try to force A&M to stay.

So, The BleacherReport bluntly lays out Baylor’s reality and how it has responded to a possible A&M move.

This is familiar territory for Baylor. Last year lobbyist Buddy Jones, a Baylor grad and President of Baylor’s Board of Regents, circulated emails to legislators trying to move Baylor with UT or A&M as a package deal to the PAC 10 or another conference. Jones as he did in 2010 could be lobbying the legislature on behalf of Baylor in this instance.

Walter Umphrey and Wayne Reaud, laywers who made millions as tobacco industry lawyers are rumored to have crafted the brief. Umphrey is a graduate of Baylor University Law.

Baylor would neither confirm nor deny the existence of the brief but the timing of its exposure is ironic. In his USA Today op-ed Starr called for university presidents to be open and transparent in their dealings with conferences and television contracts. Strong arming one conference at the expense of universities in your own isn’t transparent.
