What changes. I am pretty sure the honor code won't be changed under the pressure of outsiders wanting it changed.

While I think the athletic program is very important to BYU, I am probably in the minority when it comes to church membership. No tears would be shed by the "ALUF" types if the programs were terminated.

It would be nice if someone could quantify the positives that come from athletics. I imagine the church would have to pour more money into BYUtv if athletics were no longer available. No concession stands for local wards or stakes to do fund raisers. No more sweet changes to facilities that the rest of the University can use rent free. I also imagine donations to the general fund would go down.

Money vs principal. I think if it came to that the church would choose what they perceive as principal.
