That isnt a problem for UH. The problem UH has is that is historically has sucked. if UH were winning 9-10 games a season and going to bowl games every year, football crazy texans would go.
USC and UCLA seem to do ok in a city that hosts the Lakers and Dodgers.
Yeah, that's another problem. They have sucked. But the still have more heisman winners than Utah

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
But do they have a TWO-TIME winner of the RAY GUY award? I didn't think so.
I have to admit, he seems like a really cool guy.

I don't know, but I see from FB that her favorite sports team is, "BYU sucks." I bet she gets straight A's at SUU.
Her twitter feed is funny. She is an idiot.
I also note that LAUte follows her.

I honestly hope that no school I ever cheer for wins the punter award. #sjbh
You don't understand: this is BIG time for recruiting. With the combo of our amazing special teams and unamazing offense, where would you rather go if you were a big time punter? And now an Aussie winner of the Ray Guy? I expect a big influx of international punters (Croats, Russians, Zimbabweeans) over the next few years.

Do you think that if UH played in the Big 12 that it would remain an afterthought of a program? The prestige of playing on the national stage would certainly allow them to be on a more even playing field with the other Texas schools. If they get in the fans will come.
Houston already did that in the SWC under HC Bill Yeoman and after - UH was respectable up through 1990. In the SWC, Houston won the conference four times and had some good win streaks against Texas. Even with that success, I'm not sure UH had a large, dedicated fan base. After 1990, UH struggled and the demise of the SWC relegated them to their current place in college football. I'm not sure if Houston were given a second chance as a member of the Big 12, anything would change for reasons Moliere has stated.
