I liked the part where Houston strongarms the Big XII into taking it by threatening to accept an invite into the PAC.
Yeah, that was a nice touch.

Lol. I was referring to the saga as it relates to the have-nots. These guys are trolls.

Honest question, do you think we're getting in the Big 12? It's obvious to me that BYU brings the most to the table and I often feel it's laughable that the twitterverse seems to be all in on Memphis, but I thought we'd get in last time, so at some point I'm not seeing the same things those in charge are seeing.

I think the following things are more likely than BYU getting into the Big XII:
1. BYU stays independent long term. Maybe it enters into scheduling agreements with the ACC or MWC similar to what ND has with the ACC, and maybe it doesn't.
2. BYU joins the AAC.
3. BYU persuades a select group from the AAC and MWC to form a new conference (or maybe just an old one, giving new life to the WAC?)
4. BYU tries to strongarm the Big XII into offering membership by making a play at the PAC, but the Big XII calls its bluff and BYU is forced to accept PAC membership to save face.
In what is likely a huge coincidence and totally unrelated, WVU President Gordon Gee (also one of three members of the B12 expansion committee) was at UH yesterday meeting with the President of the university.

University of Utah grad Gee can be who folks point to when BYU is left out of the Big 12.
