Chatmon: There aren't any realistic options here. Despite the loss of rivalries and change in culture, Nebraska should be happy with the decision to head to the Big Ten and I can't think of any reason why Arkansas would leave the SEC. Both programs are in pretty good situations right now. If I was in charge of the Big 12, I would go all out to try to find a way to pry away Clemson, Florida State and/or Virginia Tech from the ACC. I don't see that happening though. And that's why I'm not on the expansion bandwagon. There simply aren't many good reasons to do so right now.
Opposing Power 5 coaches throughout the country have been outspoken this offseason about the need for more uniformity in college football, pushing for everyone to play the same amount of league games and have a title game -- comments indirectly aimed at the Big 12 and Notre Dame.
I'm really disappointed to see Gordon Gee betraying his Alma mater that way.
Funny how some Utah fans are so insecure that even any mention of BYU joining a completely different P5 league than the one the utes belong to seems to scare them. Ridiculous. This has nothing to do with Gordon Gee's alma mater.
