You Texas boys need to keep the BYU to Big-12 talk to a minimum. No need to keep hope alive for something that, if it happens at all, won't come for a couple of years. We need to get the mourning and hate stage over with. Its just like a breakup. We are mourning the loss of Utah who was stolen away by that gigantic asshole Larry Scott. We will be fine and might actually enjoy our rebound relationship with Boise.

Don't worry USU Coug... BYU needs to show the people in charge that they know how to play football when they show up in Austin next year. A good showing at the Royal will earn them a spot. I get the feeling that, unlike the Pac-10, the Big 12-2 will be taking their time shopping for a few good teams to add and BYU is already on their short list. They don't want to end up with an "under performing" team like Colorado.

hey this is good news for BYU too. We are guaranteed a Pac-16 OOC game every year and if they show well we get some of the benefit of SOS w/out canniballizing conference rating.

Oh- and it will relinquish the last remaining excuse to possibly cheer for the Utes (for the strength of the MWC). Wow- I'll be cheering for BSU in any possible Broncos/Utes matchup(!!)

I'll be rooting for the Broncos in 2010 for sure. A BCS National Championship will go a long way towards an autobid for the conference.

That pretty much sums up my feelings on the Pac-12, Big 12(10) right now. Unless the Big 12(10) changes their stated intent and adds two teams, one of which is BYU.

Wow. Big brother has to carry little brother's shoes now? Real bad for BYU. Utah hit the jackpot. But BYU is who they are. Some of it is good. Some of it is not so good. I don't think the BYU BOT's really care about sports. Heck, most of the BOT's graduated from Utah. Now they don't have to drive down to Provo to watch good football teams.

My support of BYU will be diminished if this indeed does happen. I wish I could say it would be different, but this rivalry, or what will be left of it, will become insufferable for BYU fans. Call me fair weather or what you will, but if BYU is willing to let this happen then I am willing to completely temper my enthusiasm for BYU. Just being honest.

I don't think BYU let anything happen. Church vs. BYU. BYU looks like the taliban compared to the Church with it's honor code that is 40 / 50 years old. What would get you kicked out of BYU would result in informal or formal probation in the Church......just to clarify my comments.
